Accessorides remote start kit with takeover
I don’t normally have the navigation screen up while driving (usually on the Bluetooth media screen), but a couple of nights ago I brought up the navigation screen to watch for a particular street I wanted, and was shocked that the display was like 20 miles off to the north.
Today I used the calibration screen to bring me back to my current location, but the display lags in real time (I get to an intersection several hundred feet before the display does).
Looks like it’s doing calculations to make up for the calibration offset.
The only thing I’ve done electrically to the car is the addition of the remote starter kit. Makes me think that it might be interfering with the GPS unit or signal. When I get a chance, I’ll disconnect it and see if the GPS reverts to normal operation.
Anyone else with factory navigation installed this kit?

Follow up:
Disconnected the Accessorides kit, but no change, nav is way off. Did the radio reboot, again no change.
Accessing the system diagnostics shows that no position data is received, but an occasional timing ping is seen. Disconnected the GPS antenna, and the same result, so I thought it might be an antenna gone bad, so waiting on an eBay replacement.
For grins, I did a hard reset (disconnect the positive battery cable, touch it to the negative for a brief moment).
Surprisingly, I then saw satellite position data, and the GPS was active. But this only held for the initial startup after doing a hard reset. Restarting the car or rebooting the radio, returns to no reception of positioning data.
Still investigating. Not sure if the Accessorides kit damaged my GPS receiver, or it went wonky on its own.

Does it have any sort of theft protection? Like if you don’t have the fob and attempt to drive away, does it shut off or not allow it to go into gear?
scenario: used remote start, someone smashes the window and drives away.
Maybe be tested by leaving the window down and “breaking in” without having the fob nearby?

Looks and acts just like the Accessorides kit. Even the module has the same embossing. They are both selling
kits from Directec, which doesn’t sell directly to consumers.
The only difference could be the price (Accessorides includes a plastic trim removal tool, but no towel).

Follow up #2:
Tried a replacement OEM GPS antenna from eBay, no change (actually a little worse than my existing antenna).
Based on my experiments with the radio fuse, I rigged up a relay to pass power on that fuse slot, only when the ignition is on. (Otherwise the radio fuse is always powered.)
Now when I start the car, the ignition is on, and then the relay allows power to the radio fuse slot to be passed to the radio.
The radio powers up, the GPS goes through a full init (rereading the SD card), and then 4-5 minutes later I get satellite positioning data and the GPS indicator on the display lights up, and I have an accurate map display.
Winter is setting in now, so maybe when it warms up next year I’ll take the radio apart and see if I can find some component that acts differently between correct and incorrect operation.

One thing to note, not a big deal, but your memory seat and steering wheel don’t automatically return to your driving position. You need to press your desired memory button before you drive off.
First remote start I’ve had on a car, looking forward to using it on hot/cold days.

EDIT:
I have a GPS tracking, remote start commands, and vehicle telemetry device along with an immobilizer, door locking/unlocking, and window control via CAN bus. This has yet to be set up.
FMM130
CAN-CONTROL
I need to figure out how to set it up so that I can send a remote command to the FMM130 that would start the car via the aftermarket remote start kit. I have no clue about what I need to do but at this point after speaking with electronic guys I may just buy the tools and do this myself. The GPS and CAN-CONTROL tool do seem a bit complicated so I might have him do that setup since I found one who is experienced but he told me he stays away from remote start kits

Yes, when either staring the car, or fastening the seat belt, the seat and steering wheel return to the last used position.
Probably a conscious decision in the remote starter design to not adjust the seat/wheel, to make it easier to get into the running car.
Not familiar with those products, sorry.

If you have the Lexus memory seat option, and are using it, you know that the seat and steering wheel retract when you shut off the car. When you enter the car and then either start it, or fasten the seat belt, the seat and steering wheel return to the ‘driving’ position.
If, on the other hand you remote start the car with the Accessorides kit, and then get in the car (already running), the seat and steering wheel are in the retracted position, and stay there when you fasten the seat belt. You need to press the appropriate stored memory button to move the seat and steering wheel into the ‘driving’ position (or manually adjust them to a desired position).
I can only comment on my experience with the Accessorides kit in my car, I don’t know how other products function, or even how the Lexus remote start option works, as I don’t have it.
