So I've been exploring an idea possibly so stupid that it might actually work.. after examining the pin outs for the 2nd gen IS250 and the 3rd gen model ECU It appears they are identical and PnP from a hardware point of view. The 3rd gen ECU has some housing differences but the connectors seem The same.
The Idea is to use the 3rd gen (2014) is250 ECU which also houses the TCU. Both cars use the same 4gr-fse engine, both cars use the same A960e trans just from a software perspective the 3rd gen has true manual shifting instead of gear limiting and possibly also has rev matching?
Assuming communication protocols between various ECUs in the car remain the same - everything else in the car generally has its own ECU so I can't see any other reason this won't work. I also have access to techstream to swap the ecu and make it play nice with the immobiliser and enter the VIN etc. Anyone on here well versed enough on this topic that can think of any other reasons this won't work before I bite the bullet and attempt it?
Will have all the answers beginning of next week..
Decided to just go ahead and try it as I'm getting some tuning done next week anyway so this is my last chance to see if it works..
More please! ^^!!! Fab person did a pretty sweet stitch job! Very nice! How is fed? i.e. how are the two banks tied to spool the round thing? I'd like to see that!

I'll have a build log on here sooner or later but here's a few pictures
Still a lot of cleaning and up refining to do but as you can see it runs under the trans to join both banks. Unfortunately I don't have a good picture right now of the wastegate setup.
