Default How many ATF qts did you drain out?

2006 IS350 RWD.

Did a couple drain and fills a few weeks ago. I pulled 2 qts dead each time. Vehicle on a rack. Identifix tells me the drain and fill nets about 1.9 qts.

I see lots of posts having people drain out 3 or more. Just looking for a general consensus.

Put the fronts on stands and you will get close to 2.5q without dropping the pan. 3.2 with dropping the pan.

If I'm remembering correctly, my trickle flush netted 4.5 qts at ONE draining or one heat cycle.

I dropped the pan, changed my *filthy* filter and refilled with about 3.5qts.

I'm planning on changing the fluid at least 3 more times in the next few weeks.

Did a drain and fill about 10 times. Each time on average I got 2 its. I replaced the trans and it was sunday so I couldn't get transmission fluid from the Toyota dealer and put in something other than WS ATF. In an attempt to get most of that out I did a bunch of drain and fill throughout the following week.

Looks good bro. My fluid has 188k never changed. So I did 6 qts drain and fill. It was still shifting fine, no reason to change other than maintenance. I did notice it actually started performing better with some new fluid. I'm going to run this about 5-7k and Drain/fill 6 qts again. Worst case I'll throw a transmission in it.

You guys did drains and fills at 170k+ miles? I thought that was generally a bad idea?

Glad to see no ill effect, however.
