Default Invidia mid pipe with muffler delete question

Thinking about getting the invidia mid pipe with muffler delete. Is the drone bad or is it tolerable
my first route was vibrant resonator with muffler delete but I decided against it and was thinking about the mid pipe with muffler delete option

Not sure if Im gonna be of any help here but what I did with my 08 IS250 was similar. Muffler delete and then add in some resonators but when I had just the mufflers off, the drone in the car from like 1500 RPM to 3000 RPM was unbearable for me, so much so that I ended up getting them put back on until I found a suitable resonator which cut the drone by about 3/4ths. Like I said, I dont know if this is of any actual help for you but from my experience, the drone was pretty bad with just a muffler delete. I now run a resonator/exhaust tip combo which sounds great but doesnt look as nice as I want it to.

Default Resonator delete

I bought a 2008 with the resonator delete. It is hideous sounding! Only 25% of drive time nets a happy note and it frequently discourages me from getting on it, as I sound like such an idiot! I am reminded of the famous South Paerk episode when Harley Riders were declared "******s" as the noise they made with their exhaust provoked the cartoon actions!

This is why I’ve never understood the whole muffler delete thing. It’s a sloppy , unrefined, loud mess. Just because it’s loud doesn’t mean it sounds good. But you know, exhausts are expensive. Your problem should be easy to fix though.

For all those who want noise but dont want to get rid of that beautiful comfort please get an electric exhaust cutout. I drive long distances from time to time in my is350. Its straight piped from primary cats back only when the dump is open when closed it's only rear cat delete. So it has the resonates still and rear mufflers when the dump is closed. Sounds 90% stock and you cannot notice anything unless you give it lots of throttle. Res deletes and muffler deletes make these cars sound like *** unless you do it right.
