Unhappy Steep learning curve

Hi, I am Mike and new to the club and new to a Lexus. My animal is a 2009 is250 with Nav. I am on day 3 and got my head round most of it but cannot get phone to work. I have an Apple 5s and can get it to pair with the Bluetooth unit and I can get it to dial out. Instead of hearing a ring tone I get what sounds like a cross between a Thompson sub machine gun and a heavy static feedback. The receiving person hears something similar. any pointers to where I am failing would be greatly appreciated.

Try to connect a different phone to see if the outcome is the same. ( probably is) but worth a try.

I put my wife’s phone in the system and it works perfectly. That is not the result I wanted. Both phones are iPhone 5s so now know the problem is in my phone! Grrrr! I still have a problem but have proved it is not the car🥳🤩

Now connect to another bluetooth device to see if the noise is there.

Honestly I would rather it be my phone than the car. Cause if I had to replace the Informant system would cost more than a new or reconditioned phone.

Reinitilze the bluetooth to default on the head unit, and wipe the profile from your phone. Then try pairing again phone to head unit. If that doesn't work then maybe it's just the phone itself.
