Default help? Car wont start

08 IS250

Tried to start the car, does not turn over. Has dash lights, radio works, windows go up/down. I do notice that the battery light does not come on in ACC. The car only attempts too turn over (once) but only lasts for 1-2 secs, and ill lose the battery light. After that car doesn't attempt to turn over at all.

Checked:
-New battery (testing at 12.6v) - attempted to jump start no luck either
- check fuses (all worked)
-battery in key has been replace

could it be:
altenator? or even bad connection?
fusible link?
ecu?

Again car only attempts to start (once) if battery light is on in ACC mode. Im assuming electrical, but not sure? where should I start to look next?

Thanks in advance.

Does it make a ticking noise when you try to start it?

Look up fuel pressure sensor issues.

Do you have a code reader?
My 2008 IS 350 did the same thing before and the issue was my ignition.

ive tried to put it on a code reader but it gives me connection issue message. I’ve tried multiple code readers.

That's a tell sign of the symptoms of failed FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR.

would this have anything to do with car only turning over when battery light is lit in ACC? Because that’s the only time it attempts to turn over at all. Thanks

Low battery on dash, wouldn’t start, jumped off, ran then would not start ! Purchased new battery now won’t start !now new dash warning is check VSC SYSTEM … All dash lights work , start button turns green when applying brake to start … ???? Ugh .. did the lock , move away from car with fob, use key in door turning 3 times etc ? Help I hope this just happened to be system issue from battery change ?!

Since all this started after a battery swap. Read this first:

thanks , I had read or tried all etc … once again I did the door key now 4 on/off times not 3 … but I open close ALL doors .. get back in , use fob to start and it cranks yay yay then trunk wouldn’t work with any button ?! Read manual on trunks and I guess through all this it had canceled itself and the button in the glove box was the fix .. now it works with fob and within car release button on dash ! Thanks for your time anyway
