2006 is350 shifting problem
just bought a used 2006 is350 with 150k miles, had everything checked by a mechanic to make sure everything was ok. I had an idea the shifting wasn’t smooth it would jerk and be a slow shift every year change. Mechanic said shift solenoid c is closed and a transmission fluid flush may help. Had that service complete and drove around 50 miles but it hasn’t fixed the issue. He said I may need a new transmission or replace the solenoids. Should I drive it more and see if it fixed itself or do I need a new transmission.

If the fluid and filter were nasty it could be doomed. Did they drop the pan and filter?
These are not easy to check the fluid on as most will need to keep the car overnight. How long did they have your car? You could pull the solenoid, power it with 12v and backflush it to remove any debris.
Not much us interwebs people can offer without details.

Usually when you start having trans issues, it is a sign of worse things to come. Most times I'd recommend sourcing a good, used replacement trans (with a short term warranty), as many times it is just as much if not cheaper than replacing the noids, along with other parts and labor.

here is some of them

There are a lot more of them, I was able to find under 40k Trans for my customer car for under $500 at local Junkyrad. Keep searching and find the best for you.
Good Luck

I replaced that solenoid in my IS. I got a genuine one on eBay for $75 from Japan (so it took a little longer, otherwise they seem to run $150 locally.) I dropped the transmission pan and replaced the bad solenoid, I also replaced the trans filter and pan gasket while I was in there. Refilled with fluid and shes been 100% ever since and that was probably 15k mikes ago. I'm at 202k right now.
