Replacing Side Mirror Panel on 2013 IS250
Hi all, have a problem that I'm trying to help with a friend's car. The side mirror on the passenger side got smashed, however the glass and mirror film are ruined, but the rest of the mirror is fine. I've been looking at replacements on eBay, and some are simply what seems to be a reflective piece with adhesive to attach it to the removable black plastic base (the piece that moves when you adjust the mirrors). Is the old mirror material easy to remove and replace? If not, is it better to simply get an entire mirror plate assembly? What is the part number for that?
Thanks!
Thanks!
all you need is order the mirror only, not the entire mirror assembly

Yikes, it's that much? Is there a heating element within that black base?
Could I theoretically just replace it with something like this (but for the right model year)?

i would not cause it basically double side tape to your existing mirror which is no heated element. you better fixit right.
The mirror i linked you is OEM mirror so they are heating element and ready to go
