2007 is250 radio replacement
First let me say I am new to this forum so if I am posting in the wrong place I apologize also if this topic has been covered already, again I apologize..
I have been all through this forum and every where else on the internet and can not find the answer to my question..
The basics on replacing the head unit in this car is actually pretty straight forward and not to technical. I have the new head unit in but what I didn't realize is that 2 out of the 3 wire harness on the back of the radio actually go to the A/C controls..
So my question is does anyone have a wire diagram of how to wire those two harness together? Or does anyone have any thoughts on how to bypass this.. I live in Florida on the west coast so not having A/C controls isn't exactly an option..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks in advance
David

Unfortunately it is not as simple as connecting the two harness together. As you probably could see the upper part with the A/C control buttons is just for display and controls.
The motherboard in the cd changer part you removed doesn't simple route this signals through in fact it processes the input from the A/C control buttons.
Additionaly it also handles the passanger airbag control, so without it you maybe can see the airbag warning light in your dash?
You basically have two options.
1. to dismantle the oem cd changer and only maintain the motherboard somewhere behind the display unit and connect your new radio and the A/C wires there.
2. and if you don't want to cut/splice any wires get the Beat Sonic Beat Sonic SLX-140L or MVX-140L depending if you had factory nav or not.
If you need more information on the wiring you can search the board for oem navigation retrofit, flyaudio, beat sonic or the scosche dash kit.
Hope this helps you to start with this topic!

I had the same thought about dismantling the oem radio and hiding the board behind the dash.. thank for the part numbers for beat Sonic but at almost 400.00 I think I will start with taking a stock radio apart first.... There is a 2008 is250 at my local junk yard now so I'm going to go grab the radio out of it and take it apart. I don't want to ruin my original radio.
Thanks again for the info. I will post a follow up once I get it all figured out

This can in fact be done and actually fairly cheap.. I will post more pictures later and give details. But just so people know you can add a aftermarket double din tv/DVD player to the stock dash of a gen2 is250.. only cost 35.00
