Back again.... Lol. First off 2008 IS 250 w/nav w/o ML. I just installed an aftermarket sub and amp with an LOC using the factory head unit. My question is. Since I have the non ML audio and there is no center dash speaker. Are there wires already ran there to install one? If not had anyone taken the time to do this? Thanks!
I am not expert, but I am pretty sure it would sound worse if you merged the left and right speaker signals and used it for a center. You would lose the sound effects from having 2 distinct channels.
That's why I ask questions here thanks for all the help people. Verdict decided: will not run a center channel especially if there is no dedicated input for it. Thanks a bunch. Btw the after market sub installed sounds damn great!

Absolutely true. The Mark Levinson system has surround sound, and uses that center speaker for voice dialogue when watching a DVD. For the non-ML system, all you would be doing is reducing stereo separation, a change for the worse. Good call, Boom05, to abandon your plans to add one. This is one case when less is more.
IMO if you are trying to achieve center channel using a processor that does say like 5.1 then sure add it. the wires probably will not be there depending on how lexus did the harness for your package. I would run my own wires(actually that's what I did to all my speakers, front doors and center). I am using a processor and will have the ability to do 5.1 in my car.
If you are just wondering if it will "enhance" the system in there then don't waste your time.
you wont have the proper processing to achieve what ML system is doing.
