It looks kind of weird on the wheel but doing the interior trim pieces would be pretty cool.

This is only a sample. There can probably be many different types of printing/painting so that you can have custom designs and such that traditional painting would not be able to do. This kind of technology is kind of amazing to me.

not neccesarily new tech. it has been around i know for sure at least 3-4 years now. my co-worker did his
S2000 wheels a pink and black cheetah pattern

That is pretty amazing how it works. Don't think I would do the whole wheel though.

possibilities are almost endless as to graphics and pieces to do it on... pretty cool!

Yeah this is nothing new. It's often referred to as hydro dipping.

My engine cover and radiator cover are hydro dipped carbon fiber.

Theres a place out in long island NY that does this regularly. It comes out looking good in the beginning but i think the longevity of it was an issue.

1. For the ones who have it done on any part of the car, can you please post pictures?

2. What do you think of the quality and how long it will last?

3. Where can you find a shop in Southern CA that do this?

It's a very cool process But I wonder on the longevity part on rims. I have the interior of my charger srt8 done in a carbon fiber pattern. It's looks great but over time some areas have chipped etc. Plus I took a huge chunk out on accident when I was replacing something on the shifter assembly.
