Default Slotted / Cross Drilled Rotors

Hey guys,

I was just about to replace my brake pads and realize my rotors might need to be replaced. The surface and lining is not smooth.

Anyway, I have been thinking about getting some cross drilled and/or slotted rotors.

Any suggestions? I have heard about cracking from cross drilled.

How are these?

I bought drilled rotors and ceramic brake pads from eBay shipped for about $250 a little more than a year ago. Honestly, they were as good as the OEM brakes and I could not tell the difference which was a surprise considering the price, I thought they would be crap. I never used the ones you mentioned but I would look into "Adam's Rotors". They're also a vendor on here and they make good brake rotors. I plan to order some from them in the future. But my eBay brakes are still great and have not had any cracking with regular use.

If you're building a show car, then go for slotted and avoid drilled. They will end up cracking in the long run.

If you want the drilled look, they have the rotors with dimples to imitate the drilled look.

FYI, slotted/ drilled don't add any benefits to braking. Tires are what come between the road and your car. Tires are what stops the car. If you track your car, go for slotted. Drilled removes much of the mass from the rotors leading it to warp and crack sooner.

A member on here who tracks his car found cracks one day of tracking with F-sport Drilled Rotors.

Honestly, I just want something that gives it a slotted or drilled (nicer look) compare to my factory rotors.

My car is just a daily driver but since I have some Vossen 20 inch 5 spokes wheels, I was thinking maybe some new rotors would look better since you can see right through the spokes.

Is just for looks, but dont want anything that would crack easily too. Would mine if it brakes similar to the factory rotors.

If you are not into performance then just get the rotors that looks best to you between slotted and dimpled. Since you have some heavy vossens then i would look into better pads.

Rotors are mainly looks and performance in part of cooling and not stopping power. Pads and tires do all of the stopping.
And if u have the money then go with a big brake kit!

If you guys go with ebay rotors, don't buy from brakelabs, I had a set of crossdrilled and slotted for my 2004 Mustang GT and they warped on me in a year. Seems to be made with cheap Chinese pot metal.

PowerSlot slotted rotors FTW! Look for the Centric P/Ns and you might save a few bucks buying the Centric ones vs the PowerSlot ones. Centric makes the PowerSlot rotors.

These are set I got from ebay work great will make noise when you first put them on but after a few stops noise will stop. It's because of the black plating. Complete set for 206.00 with free shipping can't beat that with a stick.
