????
I just got the recall done and to me it seems to free-up some power instead, it responds quicker when I step on the gas but maybe it's just me.

I had the recall done last week. This is the third time I have taken my 06 IS350 for cranking noise. The first time 4 years ago, and last year but they said that it was the speedometer cable and now a week ago. The noise happens with more frequency as time goes by. I am not sure if this will be a permanent solution. They also do the gas pedal recall that I had asked them previously not to do. I am afraid to open my hood and see how many clips and pegs will be missing. The last time I opened it had a cracked cover and a metal rod that I do not know where it came from but could have been from Toyota where I get my oil changed.

Let's not even talk about the 10 TSIB I got also. Unbelievable. Where are the people that keep bragging about how reliable a Toyota/Lexus?
Windshield one??? Please share.

What are the recall letters you guys are receiving? Is it for the VVTI nut bolt thing that creates a sound whenever starting up?

I received the letter today but I had the cranking noise done last week because my extended warranty is about to expire. You can check recalls and service issues on the club Lexus site. I think there is a link on the home page. Looking at it I learned that there was at fix for the clicking noises coming from the back of the car when I drove thru uneven segments of road and the buffeting noise when you drove with the windows down. Yes there has been some issues but I can't really complain. I had same number of issues with my BMW M3 but I was footing the bill. At least my car gets washed, vacuum and a full tank of gas and a loaner. Free coffee, doughnuts and bagels and $1,000 credit for a purchase or lease of another Lexus. 3 years ago.

Is this recall the same similar to the one from a few years back that was to fix the rattle on start up? We had it done on our 2008 and it has not rattled since so I'm wondering if it is even worth messing with again.

Has anyone had both done and if so, could you compare the parts lists?

i checked on the Lexus site and shows i have 3 open recalls on my 07 is350. I've only received 1 recall notice in the mail and that was for the wiper arm nut. Should i wait for the notices or should i just go into the dealer? The closest dealer to me is 2hrs away
