Firmware update to system was a big +!

The voice command is so much faster and more accurate then it was that it actually is usable now.

Also nice to have my IS350C back as it just rides nicer then the 2014 IS250 AWD... which kind of surprised me.

Even warmed up enough today to drop the top for a short ride!

They washed the car and topped off the gas for me... wish I did not have an almost full tank when I dropped off my car! lol ....

Default F you Lexus of Orlando!

Hearing all of these $0-$150 quotes for doing the plugs whole getting the recall done is nuts!

Just took our 350 in.. and guess how much of a big huge favor Lexus of Orlando was going to do us on the plugs?

A whopping $100 off their $750 charge. $650 to do it.. even at the time of doing the recall.

I'm taking my car in for the recall this coming up Monday. Hope I get a 3IS350 for loaner. Doubt it. But I'm sure they are gonna try and ---------- and get some other jobs done. DECLINE!

I am not sure if this will be a permanent solution. They also do the gas pedal recall that I had asked them previously not to do. I am afraid to open my hood and see how many clips and pegs will be missing. The last time I opened it had a cracked cover and a metal rod that I do not know where it came from but could have been from Toyota where I get my oil changed.
They put a crack in my nice Lexus cover and lost two pegs from the black side panels doing my recall... Glad I took pictures of the entire engine compartment .... Not sure if I will contact Lexus direct or call the dealer back but I will get it fixed on their dime... Does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling of this dealer in PA....

My favorite also was when they went to look at my headlight aim.. and reported back that it was due to "aftermarket wiring in the form of an LED parking light bulb being attached to headlight and therefore affecting headlight motor operation".. and wanted 3 hours of labor to "return vehicle to stock condition" before being able to fully diagnose the headlight motor.

3 hours of labor to swap out a parking light bulb. I kid you not. The service advisor could barely keep a straight face while telling me. An LED parking light bulb. Affecting the headlight aim motor. Right.

F the stealership. Seriously. You know I beat the hell out of that brand new 250 F-Sport they gave me as a loaner..

What?! Dude...you're providing them with the parts? I'd try to negotiate that with them. They're already working on the can gears so that means the spark plugs are easily accessible to them. It's a matter of a switch out which shouldn't be too hard since they have the spark plugs accessible due to the recall. I'd check with another dealership service center!

I wish I had consulted the forum before taking it in! As it sits, she's still in there.. 6 days later.. and they won't budge on the price. Had I known this, I would have found a different dealership within a 150 mile radius that would do it..

At least it looks like we're going to be able to get the headlight motor under the transferred in platinum extended warranty. In the meantime, this little 2012 F-Sport loaner corners like it's on rails... wow. Although.. how do you 250 guys deal with this slow pig of a motor? I miss our 350..

I'll answer that as a 250 owner....It's my daily driver...I don't care about how fast I'm going or the power under the motor. Lexus itself is a helluva great brand, so I'm more...show...than go. I love the body shape, the lines and just how sleek the car is. If i wanted to push power, I'd just take my supercharged M3.

So the difference in power behind the wheel for me, I'm lucky to say I have best of both worlds. Which one do I like the most? When I see how much $ goes into the M3 on tires, Gas, Track day cost....I lean towards the 250. lol

Sorry to hear about the dilemma at the dealership. Your best bet is to just go to a trusted Lexus MasterTech mechanic or one you've been to prior and have them do it. It's still cheaper than the dealership.

Will the technician inspect for abnormal signs of wear and tear? Anyone who's been able to get the recall done, did they let you know if the timing belt, water pump needed to be changed? I had them do my spark plugs and I'm hoping they might also be able to do the belt and water pump IF it needs to be replaced. If so, and it's a sign of a defect hopefully cover this under warranty as well.

Thanks for the input! Hmmm I meant the serpentine belt. I didn't see it on the maintenance schedule but do they inspect it?
