I was looking at SEWELL'S web site and found a piano black interior kit for center console and door panels.I was wondering if anyone has changed out their trim for another color and if so how hard was it to do.
thanks for any help
Pretty easy. I went from orange wood to the F-Sport Hyper Silver on a light interior car. Swap is pretty simple but I recommend trim removing plastic pieces (basically thin plastic sticks) to help pop the panels up without damage).
It is really simple. There are DIYs here and on YouTube on how to take apart the console pieces. You can always trade or if youre out of warranty have them painted.
I purchased the piano black set last year. I thought it looked nice. Looked kinda "pearl-like." My only gripe is with the slot that holds the mirror controls. Its a little recessed and doesn't quite sit flush to the surface. I used an old credit card to pry up the old trim pieces. A little stronger piece of plastic would be better but it did the trick.
You should be able to get a set of plastic (or fiberglass) trim pad removal tools for really cheap at a Harbor Freight tools. Then watch some youtube and just take your time.

Does the cup holder lid come attached to the trim already? I tried emailing sewell asking them but got no response.
