Default iphone contacts wont transfer

Hi we have a 09 is250. I have a iphone 4 & the wife has a 3s. I can get both phones to pair up to the car but when I try to transfer the contacts nothing happens. The navi screen just says transferring data. I noticed when I hit transfer the bluetooth icon on my phone goes off. Its like the phone won't let the data transfer. Anyone else experience this or have any ideas? thanks for your help!!

Make sure the car isn't trying to sync with the other phone. I had a similar issue and it turned out the car was trying to sync with my wife's phone which I recently married to the car, instead of my phone that had been attached long ago.

IT WON'T WORK!! You need to have a 2010+ Gen 6 Navigation in order to do a full transfer. All pre 10 models do come with a transfer button but it doens't work. There was one or two Sony Ericsson phones that were compatible but that's it. Sorry but you either have to input them in manually or forget about it.

Hey Ed with Woodfield Lexus,
The problem is not the car but the phone. The iPhone does not allow to select a contact and transfer it like other phones. Pre gen 5 navigation systems would download the contacts into the navigation system. The new system shares contacts and that is what the iPhone does. If you have an older phone you can transfer them from there.

Ay questions let me know
