Default Handsfree Bluetooth

Hi,

I have TMobile and a Samsung Katalyst phone. The handsfree bluetooth does not work well with my IS at all. Was wondering if anyone else has bluetooth phones that aren't compatible with the handsfree system in our cars.

Thanks!

My Sprint Mogul (6800) didn't work well at all until I got the last firmware update for the phone. You might want to check if a firmware is available for your phone. You may also have to re-pair it occasionally.

So far I've used 3 phones in the IS.

1. Unlocked Samsung D500 (TMobile) - connects flawlessly but didnt display name or number.
2. LG Shine (ATT) - connects when it wants to (could be firmware)
3. iPhone - connects flawlessly and display SOME names and numbers, not all

Just checked and there's no firmware update. I think it's a fairly new phone. Kinda sucks to have the have payed for the bluetooth handsfree feature and not be able to use it.

The phone I have is Samsung SGH-t739 with TMobile.

I've had both a Blackberry 8300c and an iPhone. The Blackberry worked about 60% of the time, I've since dumped it and my iPhone works 99% of the time. Although as mentioned above, it doesn't always display the number.

My iphone works most of the time... But if I leave the bluetooth on my iphone for a few days and don't drive my car either when I finally drive my car again the bluetooth doesn't connect.. I actually have to shut the bluetooth off on my Iphone and turn it back on in order for it to connect successfully... Gets annoying sometime but oh well
