Default ***Tire Problems, INPUTS PLEASE***

I was running on BFG Goodrich G-Force 225/40-18 and 255/40-18. I drove long trips on the highways before and had no "Swaying" problems. I just wrapped some Kuhmo Ecstas SLE same size and when I got on the freeway I noticed these "sways" as if the tires were following the groves on the pavement. I thought it was the alignment like I had a positive or negative toe or something but I called the alignment shop and described to them my problem. The mechanic said its probably not an alignment that needs to be done but some tires have that problem due to thread pattern and that cannot be adjusted. Anyone want to chime in on how I can fix this issue? Will an alignment fix this issue? What is the best approach?

Thanks CL I love you guys! NO HOMO!

Maybe they are directional tires? I read/heard that directional tires have a tendency to follow the grooves on the freeway surface.

I heard some tread patterns just have that problem. Sucks, but there's not much you can do about it...other than buying other tires. BTW, my BFG KDWs don't have that problem.

I think they are asymmetrical tires because it said "OUTER" on one side of the tires I remember looking at. I'll double check to see if the shop did it correctly. Hopefully this fixes the issue. =) Thanks guys!

I had a 2006 BMW 325 and the tires that came with it did the same thing. I had to constantly fight the steering wheel as the car went over bumps and grooves. It's the way the tire is horribly designed

35 cold or hot pressure?

Ideal would be for long lasting is 36-38 front, and 38-40 rear hot pressure.
