2011 Headlamp Bubbling Defect
Anyone got a picture of the new headlights with the whiter/brighter LED's? Gonna schedule a time to take my car in but just wanna get a gander at them first =P May bump up the date if they are awesome.
I really love the LED strips but hate the yellowish color they give off.

Those are the 2012 with the eyelashes and white LED but not the updated paint.

^ I'm not sure what JM Lexus or others would do but this morning, I called the dealership where I bought my car from. The service advisor was aware of the TSB and I asked if they could just replace the headlights straight up when I arrive but he said they cannot just order it for me... He said I have to schedule a first appointment to have my headlights looked at to see if they are in a warrantable condition. If they think my headlights paint are bad enough then I have to come back for a second appointment to have them installed.
anyone purchased a set of MY2011 IS headlight from sewell (for 06-10 IS) and already showed bubbles right on top of the LED strip and got warrantied?

Thanks Jeff. Looked at my wife's RX350 (similar light set up). That car (2010) has the ripples (eyelashes). Interesting Lex didn't think the IS's would need it...

Here's a quick pic of the New New 2012 Head Light housings..
As mentioned ealier, the material that was having a problem was updated to the same glossy black paint that is used inside the rest of the light housings..

I took mine in Back in Aug of 2011 for this issue where they swapped out with another set of 11s with the gunmetal coating over the day time runs. . . . those failed then then went back to corp to see if there was a fix . . . . waited another 2 months came back NO FIX just as of 2 weeks ago they installed the 2012 set which has a completly different part number than the headlights with the gunmetal coating over the day time run lights the 11's not even a week with the 12s on with the black coating over the day time runs they FAILED again!!!!! car is back in shop and I am working with lexus Corp to get to the bottom of this issue latest set failed due to a leaky seal ended up getting moisture inside the actual housing of the new 12 light. ALL 11 DRIVERS MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON TOP OF THIS!!!!!!!!
