so i know the people with factory led lights were able to switch our their lights for free.. but how about people that did the 2011/2012 led conversion.. if the kit does have bubbling and we bought them used from another forum member, would we have to go to sewell or our local dealer? and even then would they replace it for us?

So I have been waiting to get my headlights replaced, I showed the dealer last year but told them to wait till the fix was good. Just had them changed this weekend and now I have what looks like the 2011 lights with no eyelashes and no piano black inside. Here is the part nos.
81185-53671 and 81145-53671
Are these the new numbers or the old numbers.

Not sure about those part numbers (not able to find them on Sewell's website), but I got mine replaced on my 2011 earlier this year. The replacements have a thick black strip instead of the thin one. So far no bubbles.

I thought the 2012 was the only one with "eye lashes"
Regardless I have the 2012 eyelashed version and I'm bubbling on both sides "/ need to get em swapped soon

My old ones were the 2012 that had the eyelashes but now there are no eyelashes. I was just wondering if they are sending out the 2011 lights now just to get rid of them.

Sounds like they put the 2011 headlights on yours.

I have a 2011 IS350 and I got the headlights replaced in June. They put on the 2012+ headlights with the eyelashes and the piano black. When I talked to the service advisor on the phone, I made sure that he would be installing the updated ones per the TSB.

Well, We have our 2012 IS over 8 months now with no bubble issues. Is there any pattern or time frame for when these issues pop up? I probably jinxed our car now.

Checked mines, I have the bubbling on the driver headlight. Passenger still good, would they replace both of just the one with the problem?

I had both replaced a few months ago on my 2011 is250 with the eyelash piano black ones, but now both sides are bubbling again, but worse than before. Time to see what the new replacements are.

Just saw that Lexus Canada released an updated TSB for this issue, now includes 2013 models as well.

Newest part numbers are 81145-53544 and 81185-53544 for the IS250/350.

I haven't seen these lights in person, but from the change-up information it looks like visually they should look almost identical to the 2012-2013 lights with the gloss interior and eyelashes. I'm guessing they've probably changed the coating inside again to a different formulation or something similar.
