Default help with a small exterior issue

Lately i have noticed that the "black tape" on the window frame that rounds all around the windows of the car is starting to come off. it is getting on my nerves. Is there a glue i can use that holds really good, or do i need just take it off.? the bottom of it looks chrome. lol

If your car's still under factory warranty, take it to your dealer and have it all fixed quickly for free, no reason to sweat it. If it's out of warranty, then look into some DIY.

Lol my warranty got voided due to the fact that my car has been in a bodyshop and they used a "solvent" on the car causing my weather stripping to do the same thing thats happening to other people. Lame *** dealership

My is 250 weather stripping is turning white of all things and cracking.
It's horrible. Does anyone have a DIY on replacing the weather stripping? My car is well out of warranty.

What is the black tape on the window frame for? I see no use for it? Anyone know?
