So picked up the 2011 350 last Monday. I'm coming from a 05 Honda civic VP, so anything feels fast to me, lol. I love the car, and the surprises it likes to hand out to other drivers. Used to do alot of autoX and road course racing, but this thing is going to only see those track a few times maybe. I'd like to get a little more into drag and just some fun runs and pulls. I got her down to an 8.78 at the 1/8 on Sunday with full pressured **** Bridgestone tires. Also decided to go and get some baseline #'s on her yesterday. The best pull put down 254hp/222tq.

So in comes the question...I'm not looking for the best sounding exhaust blah blah. Just want to know what exhaust/intake you guys would suggest running for the most power. I know there is a thread about what each exhaust sounds like and such, but i'm looking for the best setup with both intake and exhaust. Let me know, and I'll be sure and keep this as updated as possible.

Running a C5 at the track(worst run for me of the night, but only vid I got):

Dyno:

Joe Z in take tube with aftermarket filter and Joe Z exhaust. He is a member here and has dyno numbers to prove it. He went from a 350 to an IS F.

Assuming you want the car to be legal in all 50 states-

Most hp for least $:
F-sport intake (Joe Z if not in CA)
Tanabe Exhaust (or one of the ebay knockoffs if you don't mind maybe needing to hammer it to fit)

That's +12hp roughly, cost is roughly $750-1000 depending if you go F-sport or Joe Z and if you install yourself or not (which you should, they're both easy)

Most hp if you don't care about being legal:

Joe Z intake
Joe Z PTS exhaust
PPE headers

That'll put you more in the 25 hp range but cost will be in the $2500 neighborhood.

Beyond that your only alternatives are nitrous and the you-might-as-well-have-paid-for-an-IS-F supercharger options.

anyway, that's to add hp... there's things you can do to run quicker times though-

Lighter wheels (with tires that provide more traction and better gearing)
Run as low on fuel as you find reasonable
Remove everything from the trunk, floor mats, etc...

I'd also highly, highly, highly recommend the F-sport sway bars, they make the most noticeable improvement of anything I've experienced on a 2IS, though they won't drop your drag ETs any

So with IHE I'll see about 275-280 to the ground? No piggybacks or stand alones for tuning that are worth a **** for this car?

I think the Joe Z setup will have what you are looking for.

Probably somewhere in the 275-285 range depending on what kinda dyno you're using and such. (mustangs, dynojets, etc all read a bit differently)

Well damn. That really sucks. 2500ish for a 20-30hp increase sucks. Hmmmmm, decisions decisions.

yes it does. That's why I spent $200 on an intake, $400 on a used axle back, and stopped at $600 for 12 hp. (which is still horrible compared to what I'm used to)...plus the sways which make a much bigger improvement than the other items without adding hp

If anyone buys an ISx50 to mod for power they bought the wrong car.

Its still 100 times better then my old car. 05 Honda Civic with a 1.7 litter. Aem V2 intake, headers and exhaust netted a whole 2 whp pushing its from 89whp to 91whp!!!

Took her to the track again last night and pulled an 8.77 out of her! Best time in my car is back to me. This is still all stock and no messing with the tire pressure. Here's the slip and vid, even though the vid is pretty ****....lol.
