Default The Plastic piece by the Shift ****

Mine is all sorts of scratched up (when I got the car). Is this piece attached to the shifter assembly or is it a separate part I could pick up?

This is the one over the P,R,D etc.

It's attached to the center console by a few screws and is definitely replaceable, but I can't recall if this has it's own part number or not.

Someone was selling this exact part in the classifieds around a week ir two ago. It might still be there.

After owning my car for 2 years, I noticed mine was all scratched up. I took a closer look at it and realized that it still had the protective film over it (which is what was scratched). I peeled it off and now it looks brand new!

you can use the same polisher kit of an iPod.
Or anything like that.
I did mine with the iPod polisher and now is brand new.

My protective cover is still on there too! I just never took it off.

I noticed that too after a couple months of owning the car. The protective film is still on

WOW check it out this morning to confirm and lo and behold my plastic cover was still there! looking brand spanking new again after 42,000

I always wanted to buy those scratch removers, but just found out that plastic cover, didn't remove it yet, maybe later.
