There are 2 different op codes being used for this recall, and each carry a different time...if they are just tightening the sensor = 1.7 hrs...if they have to replace the fuel pressure sensor gasket = 3.1 hrs...

Log into the lexus.com owners site and it'll list any recalls that are outstanding for your vehicle

Can you imagine any other company that issues a recall over such a small number of complaints? It just means Toyota is more than happy to eat the cost of the recall to make sure their vehicles stay in good shape before actual problems occur.

I don't know about you but Lexus has treated me just fine. I've yet to hear about any of my friends with a toyota with a lot of problems. I have heard about their nissan's, bmw's, subaru's, etc all having some sort of issue at some point that they have to fix out of pocket. Lexus has done us well.
Yeah good point. I think these recalls are safety measures that started about two years ago in that infamous accident where the policeman was killed in an accident along with his wife and brother in law due to the floor mat issue. Every since then Toyota has been dishing out the recalls. Its sad that a family had to die, but its a good thing Toyota is double checking their vehicles now.

Picked up mine from the dealership today. Was on E when I brought it in so the free tank of gas was worth $50 or so anyway. Other than that, pretty much a non-event.

The especially sad things are that:

1) Toyota/Lexus as a company had nothing to do with that family dying. The dealership put SUV floor mats in a sedan. That's why the pedal got stuck. It had the wrong, oversized, floor mats installed... and not secured.

2) Even then they'd have been fine if the driver had either known how to use the brakes properly, known how to turn the engine off, or known what that little "N" on the gear shifter did.

But the government had just "bought" GM and congress loves to hold hearings, so everyone wasted a crapton of money investigating issues where there was nothing wrong with the actual car.

And yes indeed, as a result Toyota is being insanely overzealous now in issuing recalls for anything to avoid the perception they "don't care" about safety.

I have an '06 IS250 AWD with almost 97K miles on it.
My CEL/Check VSC/! lights came on in my car on Saturday. The code is P2197 which is for the Air Fuel Sensor signal stuck lean.

I have an appt. to get this recall done next Tuesday. The service rep said that the CEL code may be caused by this recall.
Hopefully this all gets resolved!

Does the dealership actually fill your tank?.. My appointment is on Monday (I live just outside of Toronto in Canada). .. I was going to fill it as I'm sitting at a 1/4 tank right now.. Any confirmation on this? Lol
