Default Question about HID installing

I just got the Volt HID kit and from some search i found out that the + - are reversed
i'm trying to remove the prongs and i have no idea how to
and i searched but seems that people found a way to solve it =\
can anyone tell me how?

and what should i do if one of my screws dropped into the engine floor..
its the screw that tightens the intake box (unscrewed too fast.... UGH)
I couldn't find it.. is it safe to drive around?

Thanks!

it is safe to drive with a few things down there and it will eventually fall out. I have dropped a screw driver down the bay and everything is fine.

Can't you just plug the harness in upside-down since the polarity is reversed?

no... there's a ┴ like matches both male and female of the plug
so i have to pull out the prongs and put it back in the up side down way =\

I did looked at it when i searched

"That can easily be done by removing the prongs from the connector and switching it."

But i didn't know how to remove the prongs =\
is it just to pull out as hard as you can?
I was pulling it hard and nothing moved

worst case scenario just do what we did on my friend's car. We just cut the wires and soldered them together. Or you can just use male and female connectors

you pop in one of those flathead precision screwdriver from the bottom of the tube on the middle side. it's just a small latch kinda thing holding the connectors in place.

There should be a tab you can push up to unlock the harness. It's pretty standard on any OEM or Aftermarket lighting harness. They are stubborn though, I know what you mean. You're gonna have to pull hard, but make sure you're pulling on the plastic, not the wires. I found side to side while pulling helped.

I had the exact same problem when i installed my volts. Your not going to be able to pull the connectors out from the harness so stop trying. What i did is what whitecell recommended you do, cut the wires before they connect to the harness and solder one side (black) to the other side (white). Think of it like an hour glass where one side connects to the other.
