Hi All,
I have a black 07 IS350. When i drive on ECT, it seems like my transmission doesn't shift correctly. It is almost like when down shifting my car revs up and this happens when i am ECT. Any ideas why this would be?

Sounds like you're using ECT Power, yes? Upon rapid deceleration your car will aggressively downshift, which of course will cause your RPMs to shoot up. It's normal.

 

slap me silly but isnt it suppose to do that?

 

you own a 350 and drive it in power mode? doesnt that give you a headache? damm whiplash everytime you just tap the throttle

 

sounds like its actually working. Everything should be normal by what you described.

Yea so sounds normal to me.... you go into a lower gear going the same speed and it needs to work harder which equates to higher rpm's ya dig?
