I just finished installing HID's on my 06' 250. As part of the install I removed my stock airbox/intake. I reinstalled everything correctly and the MAF is connected and I have a notification gauge light that says "VSC". Any suggestions on what this might be? I have never seen this on my car once.

 

Umm.. I didn't encounter this when I installed my HIDs. I removed the intake and the airbox. I didn't get any lights. I say wait give it the rest of the day and if it's still lit up. Maybe do a reset?

 

Did u turn the car on to check before u plugged it back up? I did this on accident couple weeks ago and it went off the next day my check engine light was on to...

 

Yes actually, but I only turn the accessories/headlights on (I didn't start the car) while I had the intake/airbox off? Could this have caused it? I tried odo/reseting the thing. Should I dc my battery possibly?

 

If you tried to start the car without the MAF sensor connected, it'll cause a VSC/CEL the next time you start the car. Just drive the car a little bit and it'll go away (as long as there is nothing else wrong/disconnected).

my first time i installed hids the same thing happened. My 2nd time i just disconnected the battery and everything was fine when i started it up.

 

From my understanding (I might be wrong) even when u put the car in accesory mode it still checks the cars systems to see if everything is good... Atleast that is what I read on one of the threads while I was searching lookin for the answer to my problem...

 

just listen to javy, drive a little be and all with be well
