Thanks bud, I saw this your post and ended up getting the 08 isf rims.. I just need to make sure the tires I get will not rub.
The wheels are
Front wheel specs: 19" x 8" +45
Rear wheel specs: 19" x 9" +55

From what I have read, Im guessing these will fit? Any comments?

255/35R19 rears

I'm planning to get some new rims, and was hoping to go to 9.5" on the back and 8.5 on the front. All 18".
Most of the "fitment" apps on ebay or most sites complain for anything @ 9.5" no matter what offset and I'm wondering if that is because they are just so inaccurate, or conservative compared to suggestions here.

Add to that lumarai has a 18x9.5 44mm offset that they allow and those are specifically for lexus vehicles. So I'm assuming some other wheel @ 18x9.5 with 45mm offset should be fine, but I'm asking here because I want to make sure the problem isn't with something I haven't thought of.

So anyway specs are
350IS 2nd gen.
18x8.5 40mm front with 235/40 tire
18x9.5 45mm rear with 285/40 (maybe 285/35) tire.
Tein S.Tech springs, so probably lowered 1.7" front and 1" rear (they were already installed when I bought the car, so I'm going off drops I found on a web search).

rims would be more concave than convex, if that matters.
Where would these come closest to having a problem?

I'm not a super aggressive driver, but I'd rather avoid even the occasional rub, if possible.

I have no desire to roll fenders, or shaving them or moving or adjusting things if I can avoid it.

Oh, for anyone who cares, the rear translates, since the stock offset at the rear is 50mm, that translates to 3/4 to 0.8" closer to the fender at the top of the tread and about 0.4" closer to the center also at the top of the tread, and slightly less elsewhere.

Another thing, I like the look of some of the lumarai rims, but they sure don't get talked about much here, especially with the IS crowd, and I'm wondering why? Just because there are no questions to ask since they are designed for lexus, or no one likes the look? Or everyone (but me) knows they are no good (or maybe great)?

ok need some help with my 06 IS350. It is currently stock except for F sport rear sway bar and plan on dropping it on coils just so there is about a finger fender gap. Looking at 3 different setups (no particular order) but want to avoid any and all rubbing and prefer not to have to modify my wheel well, fenders, or liners at all. I also would like the wheels flush with the fenders but not peeking out. I will be wrapping whatever rims I get in Hankook V12 tires (recommendations accepted on tire sizes based on wheel recommendations). I have no idea what offsets work and what don't so please advise accordingly. If you do not like a wheel company please explain their pros/cons. Thanks in advance as I'm a noob to wheel buying.

First Option:
Forgestar F14 semi concave 19x9 in the front and super deep concave 19x10 in the rear.

Second Option:
Velgen VMB5 20x9 +35 in the front and 20x10.5 +45 in the rear

Third Option:
Linea Corse LC888 19x8.5 in the front and 19x10 in the rear

 

Cant comment on the "flushness" of the wheels without listing offsets for option 1 and 3.

Generally a +30 offset sits flush, anything lower and you start to poke. You most likely need to go for a semi stretched look to avoid rubbing (based on how low you go.)

As a Velgen owner, I can tell you that the fronts sit pretty flush and the only reason I had rubbing issues is because of how low I am. Look at it this way, I had to relocate my fender tabs, but my fenders are NOT rolled. Btw, the Velgens are semi concave in the front as well as deep concave in the rear.

Not sure if youve decided on what size you want but another thing to consider is that tires for 20s are cheaper than 19s. Good luck

Depends on how low you go.

You may have to roll the fenders and shave the bumper tabs

 

I have coilovers on the way and I plan on only dropping it so i have about a finger gap between the fender and wheels. Sorry idk what that exact drop is.

Soo I wanna run my SNA's with specs : 19x10 +35 all around, but look how close I am to hitting the spindle. Who here is running 10's in the front and can help me with this!

I was thinking of going with 19x9.5 +35 offset front and 19x10.5 +35 offset rear
I would like to have a flush look with around a 1 to 1 1/2 finger gap with out making any fender mods and rubbing

These are my questions/concerns
1: Will I need to replace my studs on my rotors to longer ones, because of offsets? If so which ones are recommended and where can I purchase them?
2: What size tires are recommended for best results in achieving no rubbing and no fender mods?
3: Will a camber kit and/or after market ball joints be necessary to fix negative camber?

I'am open to suggestions that would help me in NOT making any fender mods and rubbing, especially with rims size like going to 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear instead of what was mentioned on top, or changing offset size.

I may be wrong, but all of this moves together so you shouldn't have any issues.
