Default Thinking about purchasing an 06 or 07 IS250

Hey. I currently have an 05 GX470, and I am thinking about buying an IS250 for my fiance/me. What are the major differences between the 06 and 07 models? On the exterrior the only difference I notice is the 07 had the new Shark fin Antenna above the rear winsheild. Are there any other small differences I'm not noticing in interrior or exterrior? I appreciate any help. If it matters, I most likely am going to keep it pretty stock.

06->07 differences off the top of my head:

Shark fin for XM

HIDs available as a standalone option (in 06 they are only available as part of the Lux or Sport packages)

X package offered (not offered in 06)

Trac button actually disables TRAC/VSC... to do this on an 06 you need to do the pedal dance.

Here is the info from Lexus IS 250 CPO library
http://www.lexus.com/cpo/model_library/IS/2007.html

New For 2007

Standard Features:
- New Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) [3] cutoff switch added
- New roof-mounted shark-fin antenna added

Does anyone have any inputs on the actual price they pay for used IS250 ?
Is so much below KBB used retail estimate.

I see 07 going for around 26k~ on craigslist.

What colour are you thinking of getting tommynasty ? I am looking at one myself

I also think the 06 has a lot of issue with the Navi freezing, if that's an option.

The price you pay really depends on mileage and equipment. I got my CPO IS 250 for $27,000. It had 23,000 miles when I bought it.

Some 06's had a bad Nav disc. I had the issue when I bought my 06' used last summer. The GPS would never lock on to a satellite so even if I calibrated it didnt take long for the GPS to show me in the middle of a river or something. As soon as I got my hands on an updated nav disc the problem was corrected. Most likely if this was an issue the person who owned the car should have had it taken care of, if not it might cost you $200 for a new nav disc.

Used prices fluctuate more based on mileage then year. An 06 with less miles will in alot of cases cost more then an 07 that has slightly higher miles. Personally I got my 350 for less then what you are mentioning for the 250 but it had 56k miles on it when I got it.

Thanks for the info here guys.
I found a 07 with 35k miles, Lux + Nav + Back Cam and 18" X package wheels.
Just the wheels that is X package though. No Convenience package
One owner CA car local. They are asking 25700.

I am going to test drive it this weekend. I will update this thread later for outcome.
Still waiting for the OP to reply to his thread through :P
