Default 2IS E-brake location

I just want to know how you guys feel about it. Do you guys like the location of Emergency Brake in Current gen IS?

I prefer Hand-E brake than the one we have like foot operated mini van like E brake. I just hope Lexus to put it back at normal location when they design new gen IS.

Please share your point.

Doesn't matter to me - it keeps the 2IS console area looking clean. However, it makes it difficult to turn the vehicle into a drift car.

i'm not a big fan of the foot e-brake. it took me 3 weeks to get used to it. i wouldn't have known there was such a thing if it wasn't my friend's old 1990 oldsmobile cutlass. i kinda thought it was outdated in favour of the hand brake. good thing there's the computer to tell you if it's still engaged, instead of just a light.

kinda weird now, whenever i'm in a hand brake operated car...my muscle memory still makes me push the foot e-brake even when it's not there. phantom style.

even if i don't drift, knowing there's a hand brake is always a good option.

Doesn't matter where the location is cause the E-brake sucks. I adjusted it and it feels stiffer, but doesn't work much.

Well,
IMO, i think Hand brake is more controlable in case of emergency if you need it. Foot E-brake is only good to use it when I park.

I think the console looks cleaner since the interior is pretty small.
I don't care where it's located, i just wish the e brake would work better.

I agree. I once saw the guy in a 07 TL and he was driving really really fast. But when the cars ahead of him started breaking, in order him to stop he had to use both, the hand break and the foot break; then i realized how f***ed i would be in that situation
