Unhappy Hand Brake issue

I was wondering if anybody knew if you could change the parking foot brake to a hand brake? I really would like to drift in this car I'm not going to able to do it correctly if I have hit the foot brake every time.

of course it can be done but will take some major modifications to work and cutting of the center console

you can do this easily.
install a hydraulic ebrake setup and ditch the foot assembly. there are many companies that have hydro ebrake that you can look up. one that i remember is Powered by Max

$100-$500. Depends what you do.

You realize you'll have to mount a hydraulic ebrake which requires hacking up your console (plus just finding a comfortable place to put it, where it is also accessible, AND out of the way at the same time), there's an auto tranny under there with a lot of cables, linkage, etc. you'll have to fit it around. After you find a place to mount it, then you'll have to run lines back to your rear brakes and tap them. You'll need to find someone to tap your rear brakes to run the lines into the brake itself. After that eliminate all of the current parking brake items from the car.
Its not hard and its not easy.
Just for poops and giggles, how old are you, what else have you done to set up this car for drifting?
Please don't be buying a hydro ebrake before changing your belts, oils, lower ball joints (all the bushings by that fact). Be honest, and if you have the $$ (you'll need a lot) and the know how, we'll help you out.

I don't mean to be an ***, but I don't think you should be drifting if you don't even know about this.

Glad I could bring some humor upon this thread.... I was being serious though and not trying to be mean.

Well its true, you gotta know close to everything in a potentially dangerous sport as drifting before you get into it... Just a few days ago I ran across a thread where some guy bought some rims to drift with and he was crying cause the face broke completely free from the rim... Thats what happens when you buy a knock off of the drift rim he couldnt afford

Depends on what type of drift he's looking at.

Just some little parking lot drifting? Learn how to use your foot to "stomp" that e-brake, I used to do that in my buddy's Grand Prix.

Competition? I don't think you picked the best car, and couldn't hurt to do a little more research.
