3rd Gen IS speculation thread

I spotted something interesting this afternoon. It looked like a regular IS250 AWD MY 2010. Walking by it I took a double take, it had gold emblems and they read AWD IS350!!!
I couldnt believe it so I walked up to the front and peeked at the brakes, but of course they were the IS250 brakes. Major fail!
I didn't take a pic since it was in the church parking lot.

Originally came out on 3/90 as a 91 model.
1st revision came out on 2/92 as a 93 model (different rear suspension, bigger brakes, revised tranny with available LSD and new front lip.
2nd revision came out late 93 as a 94 model (new taillights, spoiler, color keyed exterior instead of black trim for the turbo models and dual airbags.
and this was during a 5 year model run in the USA. 10 years (90-99) everywhere else.

Sounds about right. The 2nd gen (1991-95) Toyota MR2 had been refreshed twice.
Originally came out on 3/90 as a 91 model.

The Lexus IS300 came out in 2000 as a 2001 and lasted till 2005..
However, it started off as a 1999 Toyota Altezza in Japan and lasted till 2005 as well.
So it had a 5 year run in the USA and a total 7 year run between 1999 and 2005.. between Japan & USA under 2 different names..
The 2nd Gen ISx50 seems to be on another 7 year plan right now...

I think the 3rd IS should come out before 4th GS or at the same time, not after. It's interesting that people in the 3rd GS forum already talked about the 4th GS will come out in 2011...
