Lol, did the same thing for some rattles that wouldn't go away, go figure they went away, sometimes you have to give her tough love

I recently started noticing the sound right after I turn the car on and when it's off and I open the door, sometimes it's louder than others. Oh well so long as it works.

You still want to have it in your maintenance records as an issue. You can't replace just the lock, you have to buy the whole steering column if the lock fails. It's ~$1800 + install.

i swear. i did hit it. i had taken it to the dealer about 4 times and they would keep it for a week and they would tell me the same thing " we are sorry but we did not hear anything". i got fed up and one day i was n a bad mood and that sound came back and i hit it.. lol and since it never happen again.
