I have 06' IS250 AWD, when I push the button to start the car I hear a "small electric motor like" sound before anything happens, then the dash lights come on, but by then the noise is done and the car is running. I'm new to the car but it is CPO, so is this normal and does anyone know what the noise is?

 

Yes, it's the steering wheel lock unlocking. You can also hear it locking the steering wheel when you first open a door after shutting off the car.
