I am new to the 3GS, and as you know, when you turn off the GS 350 engine the steering wheel goes to an up position in order to make it easy for you to get off the car, and, as soon as you open the drivers door the steering wheel locks itself as for security features, my main concern is that when that locking occurs it makes a noise, it does locks it but with a very particual noise like if it needs some lub. Is it normal? Unfortunately my car is at the dealer right now doing the cams recall because of the cold start noise.

Anyone can confirm if this noise is normal or can record or make a video on how your GS 300 / GS 350 sound when locking the steering wheel? if its not suppose to do any noise, is there a way to lubricate that?

that is the normal noise of the locking mechanism it does it on mine i too was worried but dealer said perfectly normal
