Which bulbs did you buy?

supra06, do you mean it won't physically go in pointing down? I swapped my mine for flanks yesterday and didn't have any problems.

 

Yes, I tried twisting the housing but the bulb someone just ends up facing the top

 

You may need to contact v-leds and get the reverse polarity leds... They will work when installed either way.

Just upgraded my puddle lights again... Removing the mirror was the easiest way for me. Only took about 10 minutes per side. At least I was able to detail the inside of the mirror housing since I had it taken apart already.

 

Yeah you need to get the dual polarity type, the 4 high power flanks are the best and brightest.

 

Does the mirror tab thing that prevents it from closing affect to 08 IS? (no blinker light). I have the same problem, not sure if its a tab problem. Can the tab/clip be reached from inside the assembly (where the puddle light is), or does the mirror really have to be pulled off?

 

sorry for being so dumb, i gotta remove 1 screw on top 1 at the bottom 1 in the middle?
3 screws total?

one screw on the top and one on the bottom (the two outside screws away from the car).

 

just wanted to say thanks to the OP for posting this... I just did the mod myself and it looks awesome!

 

I got mines from Sewell and if I remember correctly they got a good video on how to install too.

 

Does anyone know if I'll have an issue using a 6 light flank bulb instead of the 4 light as suggested?
