Default Dropped a socket into the engine

Hey guys.. Just wanted to say that I got my F-Sport intake today from Sewell's GB, and had little time to install it because I was in a rush. The rain was coming, windy, sun going down, and no shelter. So.... I was in a hurry, and while I was loosening up one of the bolt, i dropped a socket into the bottom of the car. Now I know where it is, it's on the passenger side front, bottom of the headlight, next to the fog. I could hit the bottom of the car and it would bounce up and down. How the hell can I get this out of there.

Would you guys actually recommend me driving with that piece still in there, and will it fall out on it's own later? Or do I have to take everything apart to see if I can find it.

--- Another thing, is that my windows won't work from the driver side. I had to take the neg battery off during the install, and when I put it back on, it won't roll down. I did a search and told me to roll each window down and it would work, but no luck. Any suggestions?

BTW, here are some pics of my install. =P

What's in the boxxxx!!!

Dirty Engine. Gotta clean it

Took it off

30 Minute Install

Is the socket metal? If it is you can carefully use a magnet to try to fish it out.

Try to take out all of the underbody covers. You can do with and see if the socket drops.

^^ because of the MAF sensor, I'd take apart the lower plastic body panels, hopefully it'll simply fall out =]

^^ yah, what they said up there. You can do the install without taking it off, but it would mess you up. =) Also, I did a google search about the whole windows and disabling seatbelt noise hack.

- Windows won't roll down
+ Solution is to manual go to every window, roll it half way down and then roll it back up and hold it for 2 seconds after it reaches the top

- Disable Annoying seatbelt noise
+ Solution is to press the start button twice, set the odometer to say "ODO", make sure seat belt is unbuckled, and turn off the car. Then press the start button twice again, hold down the odometer for 30 slow seconds, and then while holding the button, plug in the seatbelt. It will now say "On or Off". Set it to off and wha la! all good.

I still got that socket though, I'm going to try to take the undercover covers off tomorrow in the sun and try to fish it out. Otherwise, I gotta go find the blind man stick. Thanks everyone.
