Just cut the wires, it's super simple...

I have not heard of anyone being denied warranty work for having cut the wires behind the nav... It's a very very small percentage chance something will go wrong with your car and you'd be denied warranty work as a result of the nav hack...

If i got the Non-ML kit, I wouldnt be able to watch videos with my iPod via the VaisTech SL2Vi while moving wouldnt I? So I would still have to get the "upgraded" version of this kit?

Yes, you would need the "upgraded" version one. That's what I have even though I don't have the ML Nav.

Why not just leave it alone and do the Lexus tech Nav override. Its super easy and overrides until the car is cut off. I can do mine without taking my eyes off the road.

Go to volume menu, on left side touch- top L, bottom L, top L ,bottom L on the screen ( just aim for the corner of the screen). A hidden screen will appear and override is an option. Hold override for 5 sec until it highlights blue and you then have full access.
The best part is its FREE!!!!!

I ended up cutting the wires on mine. I bought the factory toyota switch to put into one of the dummy slots and it works great. Just make sure you cap off open wires and you will be fine. It was a real simple mod to do and after doing it, I couldn't believe I waited that long.
