Default Best Nav Hack

I was looking up the nav hacks but I can't seem to decide which one is the best for me at this point. So I was hoping if you guys could help me out here...

I want to be able to drive and use my navigation as well as my cellphone bluetooth handsfree. Basically, I don't wanted to be limited by Lexus at all!

I really don't feel like cutting wires after reading a few of the horror stories here.

What is the best solution for my situation.

you have two solutions here:

1. buy the the plug & play kit for $300. No cutting wires just plug the kit, done.
2. Do what I did instead of cutting the wires, take the whole cable out of the socket and put them together also no cutting wires

I didn't see the guide for the latter option that I have!

Do you have a link because it didn't come up in the search...

Will this work as well?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/IS250...mZ110288782633

But my only concern is what nav cd this is based off? What is the current latest Lexus Navigation CD version by the way?

I don't think that will work. I haven't tried it myself, but you can be a guinea pig and tell us if it works or not. You should look for the kit. It runs about 200 bucks.

I'd recommend the PNP kit.

Just cut the wires and do it

People both will void your warranty You are altering the OEM status and trust me once you take your dash apart you are NOT going to take it apart to take your car into the dealer! If you dont think they will notice this while working on your car you crazy!

IMO either you deal with the terrible design & limitations "or" save yourself ~290$ and cut the wires

Well lets say I cut the wires can they refuse to do warranty work on other things? Like the stereo? Speakers?

I don't want to get screwed over but I guess I will one way or other?

That ebay auction for the half-priced override kit is over & there doesn't seem to be any more on ebay. Anyone know another place to score one?

You can actually buy the plug and play kit for about $150 now. If you have the ML NAV you can get the "upgraded" plug and play kit for about $225...
