Default 3G iPhone ML NAV Compatibility

Has anyone had any connectivity problems or issues with connecting the 3G iPhone to ML/NAV over Bluetooth? I searched and found a bunch of references to the 2G iPhone (which seems to work ok), but could not find any specific experiences regarding the 3G iPhone.

For those of you that have tried, is the mic volume ok? I don't need anything like transferring of contacts, I'm just concerned about the handsfree capability and if it is ok.

Thanks.

Volume and everything else works good. You will still have to input the contacts yourself since it will not do it for you.

Volume is fine. I increased the bluetooth output of the mic on the car a notch or two. no iphone allows contact transfer, which does suck. Other than that, the connection works seamless.

I have a 3G iPhone with ML/NAV and I'm having trouble with the bluetooth connection. People I talk to on the phone are constantly saying I keep cutting in and out. I did increase the mic volume output a little but that obviously doesn't really help. Is there anything else I can try?

Any updated here on compatibility? I was considering the I-phone.

make sure the ac does not blow directly to the mic, it will distort your voice projected to the mic, and hence the other party could not hear you clearly.

I got this issue before and everytime there was a call, I put my ac facing down first b4 answering the call.

hope it helps

I'm having the EXACT same problem. Did you ever find a solution?

Same problem here too, it happens at random times. Not every time.

Sounds like your connection. NOT the bluetooth connection. You might be getting a weak signal wherever you are. Mine works fine.

Did you ever have any problems? Or did it work well from the start? I wonder if there is a reset I can do on the car's bluetooth or phone that may help?
