I've been reading a lot about bypassing older versions and have read about updating ur system to bypass the 2008 version. Is there anyway to bypass this version at all. Does this in anyway violate anything in the contract by blocking this feature. And I read if I upgrade my NAV version it will let me bypass it all. Thanks for help.

 

08+ has 7.1 or later and i don't think the screen hack works anymore. if you want you will need to cut wire or get plug and play kits. diy has cut wire method, and if you want the plug and play kits, you can contact prestigious at chung@prestigioussociety.com a lot of us got our kits from them. you don't violate anything by using the kit coz' it's plug and play, you are not damaging the car and you can pull it out when you want

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but just to be sure.. Can the 2008 GS460 and beyond take advantage of the hybrid disc option to bypass the nav (get to the secret bypass screen with the menu, volume up, down, up down sequence?)

I've created and inserted the hybrid disc and it works with the updated maps (5.1/13.1, but can't access the bypass menu).

Tried removing the negative terminal on the battery both before I inserted the hybrid and after.. The second time, it gave me the common error with Japanese characters, had to eject, put in original disc and then the hybrid disc worked again.

Looks like Prestigous Society or wire cutting is our only option still?

 

I would be interested in this as well. I did the wire mod exactly like the instructions. All the wires matched up but no dice. For some reason the car was still getting the Vss signal.

So I am wondering if the colors changed again in the 08 models. It would be nice to get the wire color diagrams for the 08 model.
