Default noob question regarding 3 piece wheels

After 4 months of waiting I finally got my vs-xx in and installed. I had no idea about offsets and sizes so I told the shop that I am going to lower it on coilovers and wanted to be a bit conservative to not worry about rubbing or stuff. Also to save room for future brake upgrade. I love my rims but am a bit bummed that there is little to no lip for the front rims (19x8.5 +52mm). The rears I am fine with 19x9.5 +45mm. My noob question is it possible to modify the offset or do I have to eat it and buy new rims? If I have to buy new ones should I get the same offset as the rear or a little more? Thanks.

YIKES! +52
Theres nothing you can do about the lip size but you can get spacers to push the wheel further out toward the fender for a more aggressive/flush look. Although... with a +52 you are going to need like a 30mm spacer
VS-XX are dope wheels but if I were you I would just sell them as "feelers" and try to get a new set.
I'm not trying to be a jerk but maybe you should have asked some questions before you bought them, or read one of the 10000's of threads on wheels sizes and offsets. Sorry man, hope things work out for you.

I would put a 20mm in the front and a 15mm in the rear if you want them to be flush. They make bolt on ones that are hub centric that are really easy to install and take off in your garage at home. It will be just fine!

namir no offense taken...thanks for the replies... i am going to call the shop tomorrow...i've seen the aftermarket wheel posts but i thought it best be left with the shop to decide since they are pros...i just read about ppl having rubbing issues and using heat guns so i wanted to stay conservative and not have to worry about that stuff... passnu2 thanks for the reply too

which authorized dealer you went with? i don't even think work wheels suggest that high offset in the front and work wheel's recommend fitment is conservative.

the thing with multi piece wheels is that offset has nothing to do with brake clearance.

i could see your lip will be small since it is for bbk clearance. but offset wise it doesn't have to be 52

im not too sure with works, but i know BBS, jline, and schmidt/'tracer wheels you can order deeper lips. that in turn would decrease your offset, and if the wheels fit now, then the mounting point to inside rim will still clear your struts and youd have bigger lips and maybe some poke :] id call work and see if you can order bigger lips. ive seen it done, just not with works.
