Default basic offset question...

if anyone could answer some questions for me it would be great...
looking at putting 20X8.5 and 20X10 on and will probably lower between 1" - 1.5"...not quite sure the right offset to get...the rims are made to order so i can specify what i want...
i want them to be staggered with about a 1.5" lip in front and 2.5"-3" lip in rear... i think i want them flush or maybe even the back slightly out wider...i dont want to have to roll any fenders! what are the correct offsets? do these offset numbers have anything to do with the width of the lip? are these numbers universal for all rims so if i saw a member on here with the setup i want i just get his offset? thanks all for the help!!! ~beau

to play safe you can do around 35 front and 43 rear

my 32 front rubs a bit when low

and no, the lip depends on the design of the wheel, it varies from rims to rims. nothing to do with widths and offset

i think you are fine. if you want to play super safe you can do 38 in the front, but to me that's a bit too inset. i have 32, rubbed a bit, mod the fender a little bit and i never rub anymore
