i paid 350 bucks for my 15k service.. and then i went back the next day and made them replace my squeeky brakes for free.. hehe.. i threw a fit.. a brand new car should not squeek like that.. i ya that reminds me.. there is a new upgraded version of the lexus is 250 break pads.. less break dust, no squeeking, perfect. I dont think they tell you that they came out with it though unless you ask about it, or really complain.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have an 06 and is in need of my 20K maintenance. I'm thinking of going to the dealer to have them do the service. I had to jump start the car since I haven't been driving it so I'll have them charge the battery as well. I might have them install my iPod intergration kit from Toyota since I'm being lazy and it's been sitting in the garage for over a month now. I just hate going there since I have the INGS kit and I'm afraid they'll scrap the front lip on the lift. I do have coil overs that I raise when I do bring it to the dealership for my other services. Like I stated I'm being lazy and I don't feel like adjusting the coilovers too. My dealership allows us to bring our own oil if we want (I use synthetic). Could save money on that.

money isn’t the issue.. I paid cash for both of my cars.. its the principle of it all. Did you know our original suspension is aluminum. ?? GRR I hate my Lexus dealer.. they were so rude to me when I got there cause im young.. they wouldn’t even acknowledge me.. then they saw the car and they were like drooling dogs (money hungry) and now there saying anything... I mean anything I do to the car will void my warranty. and they wont install any aftermarket parts on the car for me.. so F it.. im paying 350 bucks for an oil change might as well just deck the car out (not like my Integra though dont worry)
im just annoyed with the whole situation.. sorry

Might want to point out to them the federal law that makes it illegal to "void" a warranty simply for using after market parts

http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/Dumm...t.id-2669.html

It's the Magnuson-Moss Warranty - Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act of 1975... the short version is that they can only deny warranty coverage if they can PROVE the problem they are denying coverage for was -caused- by the aftermarket part. And even then they can't void the rest of the warranty, they can just refuse to fix the issue the aftermarket part caused.

So for example if you put lowering springs on they could possibly deny warranty on your alignment (which is only 12 months anyway) but they couldn't deny warranty on your stereo because of the springs.

Let me know if you need an address for the cookies :P
