OPTIC BLUE AeroTect vs. 6000k HID?
Ok....Does it pay to put an Optic Blue Aerotect Headlight Overlay if you have a 6000k HID Xenon Bulb set?
Will the Headlight overlay change or offset the color of the 6000k?
Or will the overlay just change the headlight color effect during daytime hours????
Please advise CL.

Yes,
Don't waste your money. You will defaet the purpose of HID. If you want to protect the lenses, purchase the thicker clear bra film or better off, have it installed, it is kind of difficult to do.

I got the Aerotect Optic Blue.... (NOT A WASTE OF MONEY)
The Main Purpose for me was to protect the Head & Fog Lights from rockchips and pitting...

They are just as thick as the clear film for the light housings.
Having them in Blue, is just an added bonus for me...
I have no plans on changing the OEM HID Bulbs...

ML -
If you want to get the optic blue aerotect film, I suggest not getting the HID in a 6k. I suggest getting a 4300k kit since the blue film will tint your light output to something closer to 8k if not darker.
I wouldn't say the film is a waste of money either because the film DOES help protect your headlight.
It really depends on whether or not you want your car to have that blue tint when the lights are off. If you do, go for the blue overlay with a 4300k kit. If you don't care what car looks like with the lights off and you're ok with it looking clear - then just go with a clear film and get the 6k setup.
Good luck!
