Default Error in installation?

I just recently changed my tires from 225/40/18 Front and 265/35/18 to 235/40/18 Front and 275/40/18. After changing them to the new tires, it seems as though especially the rears, the wheel gap is almost non-existent. And also when I drive and the road dips quick and then go back up quick, sort of like a small speed bump, I hear either like a rubbing noise but it sounds more like a squeak that might be coming from the rear suspension. Could this be error in installation? or bad shocks, springs? I can understand the fact that because going with 40 instead of 35, that would increase the sidewall and decrease the gap but to the point where its rubbing? Does that sounds right? Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks.

PS: I'm running Work XT7 8.5/9.5 with 38 offset and on stock sport suspension.

Sounds to me like you are rubbing in the rear's. You might need to get your fenders rolled.

sounds like tires are too big. my car rubs but im on 20s. take off the wheels and see where it is rubbing at. you'll probably need to heat up the front plastic lining to get rid of some of the rubbing like i did. and in the rear, theres a small lip on the quarter panel i just rolled and it stopped rubbing

You, my friend, are rubbing. You're running wider tires front and rear, and a very aggressive offset for those tire sizes, to boot.

Basically bending the lip on the insider of the fender so it sticks up, not in. The OP is running 235/40R18 in front (stock is 225/40R18) and 275/40R18 in back (stock is 255/40R18) so your fronts are 10mm wider than stock and your rears are 20mm wider than stock. Note that with the same aspect raio (40) the tires will also be slightly taller, possibly explaining the smaller wheel gap.

I doubt very much they were incorrectly installed, just a little too wide/tall at the rear.

Thanks for all the input, I figured that would be the case. Now to get those fenders rolled. I'd rather not do it myself, anyone know how much it might cost to do? Or how much you would pay to get it done? Thanks again for the input. Also if I were to do it myself, where do I heat and roll? Any pics of the precise area?
