Default MAINT REQ'D Light

I know how to reset it, but I couldn't find any info on what the interval is for the warning to light up. If I remember correctly it's every 3000 miles?

Before it stays on , you will notice it flashing a lot on start up as you get close to the maintainence interval

It actually "flashes" after 4500 miles.

It "stays on" after 5000 miles.

I think it warns you 500 miles before its time to get the maint. before the light stays on and annoys us.

basically all u have to do is this to reset it is....

To reset the data, perform the following operations:
1. Push the “ODO/TRIP” button to change the display to
blank.
2. Turn the ignition switch off.
3. Turn the ignition switch to “ON” with the trip meter
“RESET” button held down.
4. Keep pushing the “RESET” button for longer than 5
seconds after the ignition is turned on.
After the above operation, the master warning light comes
on, a warning tone sounds and the above message
appears to inform you that the engine oil maintenance
data has been reset. (U.S.A. only

Thanks for the oil maintenance reminder reset instructions. The 4500mi oil maintenance message just popped up 2 weeks after my oil change, and per the instruction manual's description I thought I had to update my info/maintenance/oil screen on the NAV, but to no avail.

One search on this forum and problem solved. I should probably search the forum instead of searching the manual next time.
