My friend had an 06 GS and said that it came with a CD-ROM tutorial on using the Navigation system. I'm a visual learner and would find that very helpful. My 2008 came with no such treat . Has anyone heard of anything like this for the Gen5 Navi??

I think Lexus may have stopped including the tutorial CD with new cars. About a month ago I suggested to another 08 owner that they refer to the CD, and they too hadn't received one. I'm not sure about the '07s, but back in '06 when the Gen5 nav was new, the tutorial disc came with the car.

 

My '08 came with one. Haven't watched it though. The sales rep gave me a thorough tutorial and I'm familiar with GPS in general.

I have an 07 and my car came with it. Since I only have Nav-nonML, it's only a cdrom that can be played with videos on a computer but just audio if you put it into the car (follow with audio directions). But I think my friend who has ML got a DVD version (not sure) that can play the tutorial on the NAV-ML screen (actually see video not just audio)

 

I got a CD with my 07... mine has everything.

Just use his. The 06 GS also has a gen5 nav.

 

you can use the cd no problem, it's just for illustrative purpose anyway

08 should have it. they have it for the ls460 and gs, there is no reason they don't have one for the 2is i think. both our ls460l and gs350 have the cd
