Default Blew a tire - Need advice

Long story short, I was driving on the freeway and my front passenger tire probably got popped by a sharp object and ended up with a tiny hole. I put the spare tire on (really ugly BTW) and drove home slooooowly.

So what do I do now? Do I just take my blown tire and get it patched? I want to take care of this ASAP. Any advice will be greatly appreciated...

Drive it to a tire shop and see what they say, just don't go in asking like you don't have a clue or you'll walk out being sold 2 new tires. Just say you think you hit a nail or something and they'll look at it, if it can be patched then they'll patch it.

Depends on where the puncture is. If it is anywhere near the sidewall they won't want to fix it for safety reasons. Take it in and see what they say.

Fortunately the hole is not on or near the sidewall, it's basically right in the middle of the thread. It's about half a fingernail size. I'll try to take pics so I can show you guys.

We don't need pics - go get it patched. They'll tell you if it can't be patched.

people (like me) sell used tires on the cl classified for cheap. makes sense to buy one or two spares and keep them around in case your blown tire can't be repaired. it would suck if you had to go out and buy one (or maybe) two brand new tires just because you blew a tire.

As long as it isn't near the sidewall you should be okay.
