Default Metal object inside tire

So today I saw that there is a metal object lodged in the tire. I change the tire and put the spare. Now should I get it fixed from local shop or take it to the dealer to see if I need a new tire? The object is flat and right in the center.

What kind of metal object? I would just pull it out and see if it went all the way through. If it did I would probably replace the tire. You could PATCH it but depending on who you talk to thats not recommended. I have patched numerous tires and have never had a problem. And notice I said PATCH and not PLUG. Major difference!

is it lodge into the side wall or the middle thread of the tire? I wouldn't take it to the dealer unless you bought the wheel and tire warranty from them as they will probably charge you more. go to the tire shop to patch it up if the lodge is in the middle thread of the tire.
